Biosensors for racehorse training, an innovative radiator valve and chocolate that’s good for you were among more than a dozen innovations showcased at Cambridge’s Hauser Forum on 8 September in a special technology media event, ‘Meerkats and Avatars: Prepare for a changing world’.
From medical diagnostics to software, and from solar heating to cloud computing, entrepreneurs demonstrated a range of inventions and new techniques including Audio Analytics’, Omnisense, Psonar and Zonerider.
Meerkats and Avatars enabled early stage companies the opportunity to gain profile with investors and the media in a valuable networking opportunity with several companies involved in the pitching process. Some 20 journalists were in attendance including BBC Look East, New Scientist and the Sunday Telegraph resulting in coverage from a range of national, broadcast, and trade, regional and online media.
