13 May, St John’s Innovation Centre, 11.00 – 14.00
I spent the last decade selling FX for banks and brokerages in the UK – now I want to help corporate customers understand the markets, understand pricing and margins, understand how to negotiate from a position of power, and how to ensure fair and lower margins from your provider.
This seminar will examine:
- Current economic climate (UK inflation report due out 2 days before this seminar)
- The FX market – both past and current reasons for movements (possible future movements)
- Spot and Forward contracts
- How to buy currency (usually circa 7 different channels within 1 bank)
- Currency options – what they are and how they are priced
Knowledge is power – the more you know and understand the markets, the better equipped you are to discuss with your bank. Treasury is a deliberately opaque industry that I intend to open up and make transparent – starting with Foreign Exchange.
