Local Business Support

In addition to providing services on site St John's Innovation Centre Ltd supports the Regional Development Agency (EEDA) and Business Link (Cambridgeshire Business Services), by running programmes for businesses in the region through:

• The Investment Readiness Programme - assisting with business planning and fund raising.
• Being an agency for the Shell Technology Enterprise Programme (STEP) placing students in local SMEs.

The Centre also undertakes consultancy assignments which are in line with its objectives, for example:

• Advising on Science Parks and Innovation Centre initiatives in the UK and overseas.
• Carrying out assignments for the EU in Economic Development (Italy) and technology transfer (Slovakia, Estonia, Romania).
• Running workshops and seminars on technology transfer, innovation and business development.
• Assisting the Department of Manufacturing and Management University of Cambridge in establishing an Institute for Manufacturing Industry.
• Assisting the Judge Institute of Management Studies in the establishment of the Cambridge Entrepreneurship Centre.
